The ClimaMedia Project aims to bridge the knowledge gap between the public and scientific communities through active social media engagement and informative videos. It was started by two grad students researching climate change and its impacts and realizing the information that people want and need is not easily accessible or understandable.
Meet the Team
Amir Erfanian is a current Ph.D. candidate at the University of Connecticut. He specializes in Regional Climate Modeling and Land-Atmosphere interactions. He has been an activist for climate change since his early days as a young child growing up in Iran.
Lori Fomenko is a current graduate student at the University of Connecticut. Her research focuses on the impacts of urbanization and landuse on local climate and water resources. She is a strong proponent of science communication and educational media.
